Welcome to Kaimyk Cavies, a mother and daughter team who between them have bred and shown Guinea pigs for over 6 years.
Kim started showing first back in 2002 with her son Chris, fantastic himilayans which were aquired through Pat & Eric Gaskin.
After a brief break from showing, Kims mum, Kay decided to breed and show guinea pigs back in 2011 which prompted Kim to come back and as of 2012 Kaimyk Cavies became a partnership
A little about us...our homes and our lives.....
Animals have always been a big part of both Kim and Kays households, as a child Kim grew up on her parents small holding and so a wide range of animals have been part of both Kim and Kays lives. Horses, goats, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, pet rats, caged birds, bee's, rabbits and of course guinea pigs
When Kims' Mum Kay decided to breed and exhibit guinea pigs in 2012, the partnership was born. 'Our aim is to improve the breeds we keep in line with the Breed Standards, whilst providing healthy, well socialised cavies to both Pet Homes and Fanciers alike'.
The foundation stock was purchased from some of the UKs most successful and reputable breeders which gave an enormous head start.
'We thank them all for helping us get off to a flying start with some cracking cavies'.
Kay originally specialised in English Crested cavies in White and Cream, long haired Alpacas & Teddies, whilst Kim would be breeding Rex & Teddies in a variety of colours.But although originally wanting to concentrate various colours, both Kim and Kay decided to now concentrate on Teddies in Bi and Tri colours.
'We aim to keep this site up to date with information on our litters, adult cavies for adoption, local club show dates and show results.'
